What is PRP treatment?

PRP treatment is a cosmetic treatment which uses your own blood to stimulate skin cells to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate collagen production, resulting in improved elasticity, tone thickness and skin texture. Collagen fibres are able to remodel themselves meaning wrinkles and folds become smoother and less visible and the natural healing process of your skin is faster.

What is microneedling?

Skin needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a minimal invasive cosmetic procedure used to rejuvenate skin,  improve scars and pigmentation. A special device with multiple fine needles is used to puncture the skin and create a controlled skin injury. The micro-injuries to the skin initiate the skin’s repair process which includes naturally producing collagen to the affected area.

What are the key benefits?

  • Uses your own blood to improve your skins plumpness and elasticity.

  • Give a youthful, vibrant skin glow

  • Enhanced collagen production, give a tighter and firmer skin.

  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Improve acne scars.

  • Improve dark under eye cycles

  • Leaves you skin with the beautiful radiance of healthy new skin.

Why should I use microneedling with PRP?

Microneedling with PRP (Plasma Rich Platelet) is also known as Vampire Facial. It is the latest rejuvenation procedure that offer patients safe and effective way  to improve their skin.  Combination of Microneedling with PRP provide a much better result.  As the micro channels allow even distribution across the treatment area as well as absorption into deeper layers of the skin.

How is it done?

Blood is taken from your veins in special tubes. The blood is then placed into a centrifuge for about 5 minutes. Once your cells have separated, the growth factor rich platelets is extracted and used with microneedling and also for injection into the skin where rejuvenation is requested. All procedures are done by our medical doctor.

How many sessions are necessary?

What should I do after the treatment?

After your treatment, you must avoid using lotions and moisturisers that contain perfumes, colours, glycolic acids and retinol. Instead, it is recommended that you apply the provided moisturiser for a period of 3-7 days. Avoid exposure to the sun for 2 weeks after a Dermapen treatment as the skin is extra sensitive.
